Children's Museum of Denver

The Children’s Museum of Denver is a regional destination for children and their caregivers, with hands-on interactive exhibits. As part of the expansion of the museum, Mundus Bishop’s design for the campus and Outdoor Experience promotes learning and engagement with the outdoors. Mundus Bishop’s plan creates a year-round destination that combines play with the arts and sciences. The design is based on a metaphorical ‘river’ that children can explore, imagine, and physically interact with, modify, and witness the results. The outdoor exhibit offers children the opportunity to take an active, physical role in interacting with the landscape — developing their kinetic and tactile functions  while having fun.
