Shelby Scharen - Associate, Planner/Landscape Designer
Shelby’s professional experience emphasizes cultural landscape planning. With a passion for culture and nature, she earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Montana before earning master’s degrees in landscape architecture and urban planning, both from the University of Colorado. Recently Shelby has completed a landscape narrative and interactive website for Voyageurs National Park, a cultural landscape report for the Harry S Truman National Historic Site in Missouri, and is currently working on the Ute Indian Museum. Shelby is based in Ashland, Oregon where she grows grapes in her backyard and makes homemade wine in the garage. Most weekends she is out hiking the Pacific Crest Trail or at the beach.
